The Ariège provides a wonderful natural arena for your bicycles rides. If proof is needed, note that the Tour de France passes through the Ariège practically every year! Some of the department’s heights, like the Beille plateau, the Col de Port mountain pass or the Mur de Péguère pass have all become popular stages in the iconic French cycling race.
During your holiday in our campsite in the Ariège, you too can pedal through these amazing mountain landscapes. A host of mountain bike trails are to be discovered. There are varying levels of difficulty, from green to black. You can even set off easily straight from Yelloh! Village Le Pré Lombard.
For mountain bikers, the Ax 3 Domaines Bikepark is also worth a trip. Ride around the specially adapted trails, which are again suited to different levels. The ideal place for downhill mountain biking fans as there is a total 1,400-metre vertical drop!
Finally, for some lovely cycle rides with the family, there are 2 greenways in the Ariège. The first starts out from Foix and goes as far as Saint-Girons, while the second links Lavelanet to Mirepoix.
